While cutting back some bushes in the Premium Church graveyard, our lazy gardener Brian discovered a mysterious old outbuilding, but with no clear pathway, and with more than quarter of an acre of bushes and nettles still to clear he had no time or the inclination to look into it, Mark the vicar however thought different, and decided to kill two birds with one stone, he called in the Time Team.
With only three days to investigate, Tony and his archaeological mates arrived to make a thrilling hours worth of Sunday television.

Day one, within hours of arriving Tony and the team got stuck into clearing all of our overgrown weeds and bushes, the geophysics guy got very excited at finding some big wavy lines on his results screen, he said that the field looked like some kind of Christian burial ground, and had all the headstones not blocked the signal so much he would have had even more detailed information to give.
Day two, the outbuilding stood alone amongst the perfectly cut surroundings, after several pints of beer in our Church bar they decided to break in and try to discover its original use. After breaking down what looked to be a bricked up door they found another wooden door within, it was off to the bar.
Day three, after several more pints of quality beer Tony opened the door and looked inside, he turned to face the camera and said "it's appears to be a small room of some kind". We were all very excited and they left.

wishing well?

BELIEF

We believe that the mysterious room is in fact an old wishing well and we will continue to advertise it as such.

Welcome to what has become a very popular stopping off point for many visitors who we feel enjoy the intimate atmosphere to donate money and make a wish.
What better time could there be to visit our wishing well than on your wedding day, be photographed together making a wedding wish, maybe one of you sitting and the other one standing to guarantee that perfect shot.
This is thought to be the smallest room on the estate, maybe built for only one person to wish at a time. We recently consulted one of our better educated visitors who agreed with us regarding its previous use, he said " it was definitely used to spend a penny" we hope for far larger deposits these days.
This facility will also give your wedding day a very special and unique moment, and hopefully several hundred of your guests will get a special and unique moment too.
